Hey Clint, there are two install types as mentioned at the top of the page.

    Merge Style (recommended)
    https://create3dcharacters.com/maya-zoo-tools-pro-install/

    Replace Style (for beginners)
    https://create3dcharacters.com/maya-zoo-tools-pro-v1-replace-install/

BUT I’m just about recommending using Zoo2 for everything now. Zoo1 is EOL (end of life), it’s basically dead.

The only main tool we are missing in Zoo2 is the auto rigger. But if you are not using the auto rigger, then Zoo2 is much better and easier to install.

    Zoo 2 Installer

Zoo2 Community Scripts Pack (this fills some holes in Zoo2 with Community scripts)
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/9zcrtdf05s99vt6/zoo2_community_scripts_v1.0.zip?dl=1

Feel free to ask if you cannot find a feature in Zoo2 from the tutorials. Zoo2 is where all our focus is now.

    Andrew,

-The Merge Style Link. Did not have a download link. Or no popup came up.
    – Zoo 2 Installer link: No installer on the page either.

Hi Kaneda, the C3dC Shelf is part of Zoo1. Currently, we are in the middle of the switch from Zoo1 to Zoo2. I’m about to create a page making this clear.

If you’d like to use Zoo Tools 1 as per most of the tutorials, then best to install it as per this page, see the first 10 mins.
      https://create3dcharacters.com/maya-zoo-tools-pro-install/

Also please note that Zoo1 and Zoo2 do not run together. There are instructions for disabling Zoo2 in order to use Zoo1, see videos 4.1 to 4.3 here.

Personally, I am using Zoo2 all of the time now and most tools from Zoo1 and the hotkeys have been ported to Zoo2. The outstanding missing tools are…

      ZOO 1 ONLY
      – Autorigger (Zoo Biped Proxy/Skeleton Builder Zoo1 only)
      – Selection Set Manager
      – Animation Clip Library

Those are the big tools we still haven’t ported, all other tools are mostly found in Zoo 1. We are getting closer to releasing Hive our new autorigger.
