ZOO SELECT TOOL – OVERVIEW
Zoo Tool’s Select Tool is a small UI that includes a random selector not available in Maya.
The UI also adds Maya’s functions for handy access,
– Grow Selection
– Shrink Selection
– Invert Selection
– Select Hierarchy

THE PROBLEM
Maya’s primary selection utilities are hidden in large menus, and it is also missing a random selector.
THE SOLUTION
Zoo’s Select Tool adds a handy random selector not found in Maya; this tool works in both object and component modes.
Other handy select tools have been added to this UI for easy access.
USING THE TOOL – SETTINGS
Select Random
Select objects/components and run.
The tool will randomly remove objects from the selection.
– 50 will randomly select 50% of the current selection.
– 10 will randomly select 10% of the current selection.
Grow Selection
Grows the current component selection.
Select a vertex, face, edge, or UV and run to grow to surrounding components.
Shrink Selection
Shrinks the current component selection.
Select a vertex, face, edge, or UV and run to shrink the selection.
Invert Selection
Inverts the current selection.
Select objects, vertices, faces, edges, or UVs and run to invert selection.
Select Hierarchy
Adds the children of the currently selected objects to the selection.
