Duplicate Along Curve is a tool for adding objects to curves. The tool uses Maya’s motion paths to connect the selected object/s to a curve, and it can also be useful for rigging.

For example, Croc’s necklace was rigged with motion paths that are kept live on the curve.

To run the tool, select an object or many objects, then shift select a curve object and press Align/Duplicate Objects.

Duplicate Along Curve also supports multiple objects; you can use it to build chains, for example, with two objects rotated 90 degrees.

Also see related tools Controls On Curves for instantly adding controls to curves and Joints On Curve which builds joint chains along a curve.

The documentation for this tool is coming soon.
