Croc Rig

Maya: Rigging, Rig Demos

In This Class You’ll Access…
Here’s the Croc Rig demo page where you can download the rig and have a play.

Croc is a character is based off an artwork by James Castillo a super talented character designer, please check out his facebook page !! Croc’s a Maya 2017+ animation rig that comes with bonus assets like animation scenes and Renderman, Arnold and Redshift scenes, shaders and light setups. Full tutorials show how the tools can help you animate with speed and efficiency.

Almost all of these workflows will work with all of our characters and rigs made with Zoo Tools Pro 1. Many of the tools aren’t restricted to our rigs either. Feel free to use these scripts on your community and personal rigs too.

You can animate Croc for any non-commercial project, student show reels, and short films.

We will upgrade Croc shortly for Zoo Tools 2 when our new auto-rigger Hive comes out.

Cheers Mans! We will have something to show at the end of the month. So early Feb. It’s going to be a long release, the first version will be in Alpha and missing a lot of features, both rig features and other UIs like the image browsers, but it should give you a good sense of where we are going, especially with the new rigging system!

Hi Andrew, I did exactly the same way you show in the video that I put the croc fold in my animlibrary. I dont know why it won’t show up in my zoo plugin. I’m waiting for the zoo 2. is there something would be different? I wish I can solve this issue soon. thx

Hi Hongyu, just checking, did you follow the instructions in the notes on vid 2.1 and put the clips in the new location? Do not follow the video anymore. See the notes on 2.1.

      C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\zooPrefs\animLibrary\clips (croc folder here)

      Or equivalent on your os?

If so, can you let me know what OS you are using, Windows/OSX? And what version of Maya. This should be fine. Let me know how you go.
