SIMPLE HOUSE – WALKTHROUGH EXAMPLE
This WIP page contains a series of videos that walk through the process of creating many different polygon houses.
Please note the videos are a work in progress and will be updated over time.
In each example you’ll see all steps from start to finish, including modeling, shading, and rendering.
This page compliments the previous pages (coming soon) which will cover the theory and techniques used to create the houses.
These videos are real life examples of how to use the techniques covered on the previous pages (coming soon).

REUSABLE – SCENE SETUP
This video walks through the process of blocking out the Ice Cream Shop with shaders.
You’ll see how to:
– Block with simple primitive shapes and polygon modelling tools.
– Setup and position an image plane with an animated fade.
– Easily create copy and edit shaders with the Shader Manager tool.
2/3 -ICE CREAM SHOP A – MODEL DETAILS
Add details to the Ice Cream Shop. Here we use a few different techniques that can be found in the chapter markers.
You’ll learn how to:
– Detail the shop and create the ice-creams
– Use the Negative Scale Mirror Technique
– Use the Randomize Objects Tool
– Use the Randomize Shaders Tool
3/3 -ICE CREAM SHOP A – ARNOLD RENDER
This video walks through the process of rendering the Ice Cream Shop in Arnold.
See the chapter markers inside the video for timestamps.
You’ll learn how to:
– Place, create and edit area lights
