This version features three new tools Randomize Shaders , Zoo Select , Animation Paths , and a new installer and uninstaller.
Many of our UIs have had a facelift with a new more modern button style.
We’ve fixed a rare Maya 2022 startup error related to security issues.
New Tool – Randomize Shaders:
Randomize Shaders helps assign and manage randomized shaders across many objects.
New Tool – Zoo Select:
Zoo Select adds a Select Random feature and includes some common default Maya select functions too.
New Tool – Animation Paths:
Animation Paths adds a CV curve create from animated object, duplicate from animated object along with including other Maya functionality such as Motion Paths and Ghosting Editor buttons.
Enhancement: Installer:
This version features a new installer that can set the paths of the Zoo Preferences directory on install and does not require a Maya restart while installing. Upgrades and downgrades still require restarts.
New Tool: Uninstaller:
We’ve added an uninstaller in the Zoo Menu > Developer > Uninstall Zoo Tools to make it easier to uninstall Zoo Tools Pro. Please note that the uninstaller still does not fully remove the Zoo Preferences folder and you still need to delete it manually; this should be fixed in the next upgrade.
Enhancement: UV Toolbox
The UV Cut And Sew Tool has been renamed to UV Toolbox and more buttons have been added from the Advanced Mode into the Compact Mode and a new button look. All functionality remains the same.
UI Upgrade: New Button Style
We’ve rolled out a new button style to many of the UIs, with a new cleaner and more compact look.
Bug Fix: 2022 Startup Errors
Zoo startup issues in Maya 2022 regarding No module named ‘zoo’ errors should be fixed. This was related to a Maya bug while quarantining userSetup.py files.
