— Major Tool upgrade —
Animation Toolbox (Previously General Animation Tools)
Python 3 – Maya 2022 Support:
Zoo Tools fully supports both Python 2 and Python 3 versions of Maya. The installation remains the same and Zoo Tools 2.5.0 will work all versions of Maya 2017-2022.
New Tool – Randomize Objects:
Randomize Objects randomizes object’s position, scale and rotation. It can also be used to randomize other attributes.
Tool Update – Animation Toolbox:
Animation Toolbox (Previously General Animation Tools) has had a major upgrade. New buttons have been added supporting miscellaneous animation functions. Use this tool as a hotkey-trainer for common animation functionality.
New Tool – Graph Editor Toolbox:
Find common Graph Editor tools in the Graph Editor Toolbox . Use this UI as a hotkey-trainer for learning handy functions related to Maya’s Graph Editor.
New Tool – Animation Toolbox:
Bake Animation is a compact UI that combines Maya’s two bake tools, Bake Channel and Bake Simulation into one easy to use UI. Adds animation layer support to Maya’s Bake Simulation functionality.
New Tool – Numeric Animation Retimer:
Numeric Retimer time-scales animation between a start and end frame with automatic ripple offsets. Settings can be scaled in Maya units or as percentages or frames per second matching offline editing programs.
New Tool – Randomize Keyframes:
Randomize Keyframes randomizes the values of keyframes and adds noise and random offsets to animation curves. Random noise can be baked and added to animation layers.
New Tool – Scale Keys From Center Values:
Scale Keys From Center Values will value-scale keyframes from the auto-center of each curve. This tool is useful for adjusting animation noise that is not at the zero of world or local space.
New Functions – ACES and Linear Color Management Switch:
New color management settings for Maya 2022 are found in the Rendering Icon Menu > ACES and Linear color options.
Use Set Linear/SRGB to return to the most popular color management style found in the earlier versions of Maya. This setting fixes colour space for all our tools.
Use Set ACES/SRGB to use the new style color management in Maya 2022.
New Function – Create ZBrush Grid Ref:
Match models to ZBrush’s hardcoded scale size. Very handy for sending objects to ZBrush with GoZ from Maya. Find this setting under the Modeling Shelf Icon > Create ZBrush Grid Ref.
New Hotkeys:
Multiple hotkeys have been added in this release and we’ve adjusted many of the existing hotkeys. The default Zoo Hotkeys will now automatically upgrade while installing upgrades, but only if the hotkeys are already installed.
