C3dC Maya 2016 Prefs
2017 Preferences are now available, you can grab those here . 2016 prefs do not automatically upgrade to 2017 and need to be downloaded and installed seperately.
The biggest gift to the community is these hotkeys which alone can dramatically improve the speed of workflows in Maya. Working with marking menus and shelf icons for the most commonly used functions in Maya is like typing emails by using the Maya shelf instead of the using the keyboard. It’s insanity and Maya over the years has become really inefficient. But since Maya is so customisable it’s been easy to fix this as we’ve done here.
Mayas preferences control the default setup of Maya when you load it up, in general they’re pretty good however a few key things need to be tweaked to get good results, we’ve done that for you so you don’t have to worry.
We’re not afraid to mod up Maya like you’d do in a professional environment so here’s a bunch of free scripts in the shelf that make work easier. Where we’ve not been able to obtain the rights to redistribute the script the icon will take straight to the script download page with instructions on how to install.
